The BSRAD Board finalized the FY25 budget with the ratification of the Nonprofit grant awards (Government and Reserve funding was commited earlier).

FY25 commitments totaled $23,299,095.

During the first week of June, the board reviewed 33 Nonprofit requests from 18 sponsoring applications. The structure for these meetings was a little different this year. The Board worked from Resolution 2023-02R which proactively budgeted funds into eight impact areas. The first meeting was an all-day working session where the full board had open discussions about these important decisions for the first time. Normally, the board can’t conduct business without a public meeting when a quorum is present. Impact areas were reviewed at the scheduled times listed on the agenda, enabling sponsors and community members to plan their attendance and initial motions were made.

Thursday’s meeting was where the Board ratified the funding decisions. With few exceptions, Tuesday’s slate of motions was approved. It was joked as being the fastest meeting ever conducted by BSRAD. Listen in to June’s BSRAD in a Minute for a quick recap of the week.
