At a public meeting on November 17, the Big Sky Governance Study team presented the final results of an 18-month effort to analyze how Big Sky functions today and outline how alternative governance models could operate. The study does not make recommendations; instead, it provides clear, impartial information grounded in Montana law, fiscal data, and community input to help residents understand the tradeoffs of each governance scenario. It examines factors such as costs, services, representation, and feasibility so community members can make informed decisions about Big Sky’s future.
