BSRAD is seeking an individual on a contract basis to support resort tax collection, business registration, and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative contributor with a desire to support the Big Sky community. The contract will require strong customer service skills, organization, and time management. This scope of work will support businesses and enforce compliance procedures by utilizing MUNIRevs and LodgingRevs systems.

Scope of Work

Software and Data Management:
• Perform regular MUNIRevs maintenance such as closing accounts, adding tax forms, and updating contact information.
• Work closely with GovOS support team to troubleshoot user issues.
• Approve new accounts, business registrations, and support renewal process.

Collection Compliance:
• Implement compliance procedures to ensure Ordinance 2008-1 is enforced.
• Send delinquency notices for late tax payments and registration renewals.
• Enforce event vendor compliance by validating registration and tax collection.
• Develop baseline knowledge of ordinances and procedures as needed.

Business Support:
• Respond to email and voicemail communications from businesses in a timely manner.
• Become familiar with printed and digital business resources and provide feedback for improvements.
• Collaborate with the Chamber and Event Organizers around common goals.
• Support Finance & Compliance Manager as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
• Experience in customer service
• Superior organization skills and dedication to timely execution of enforcement procedures
• Superior written and verbal communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Discretion for dealing with confidential information
• Attention to detail
• Capable of working well as part of a team and independently
• Great problem solver

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in Government or collections a plus
• Familiar with the Big Sky community

Hours of Operation
Contactor schedule will require a consistent time commitment throughout the work week. Workload will vary from 10-25 hours per week throughout the year depending on tax deadlines and registration approvals and renewals. Emails and voicemails from businesses should be returned within two business days, so regular check-ins are necessary. BSRAD support for contractor will be during normal business hours typically Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Communication with businesses will vary based on optimal hours of business specific operating schedules, events, and meetings. Some work activities can be handled based on contractor discretion.

Term of Work and Payment
Initial term of contract will be one year with monthly payments of $5,500. Consideration will be taken for contract extension beyond one year.
