Big Sky Community Members:

The elected Resort Tax Board relies solely on the imagination, energy and skills of the members of our community when spending the limited but respectable amount of taxes collected by local businesses.

In the spirit of Better Together and with the goal of achieving the best results for our community, the board is hosting a series of Town Hall Meetings February 13 and March 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center.

February 13th the board will recap the strategic session, review the application for funding and present the first reading of governing ordinance 98-01 with proposed amendments (see the link below). To close the meeting, the board will outline two solutions that provide funding for a large project with a single years appropriation: the sinking fund and bonding authority.

On March 13th, the entities appropriated funds for planning will present their findings. Presentations include the Recreation Facilities Plan by the Community Corporation, the Housing Plan by the Chamber and the Marketing Plan by Visit Big Sky.

Big Sky is an exceptional place with extraordinary volunteerism and dedication to our community. With resort tax to help fund programs and services, together we can continue to build a world class community.

The board sincerely appreciates your participation in the upcoming Town Hall Meetings. We understand your time is important and for that reason, the meetings will be brief and no more than one hour. See you at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th of February and March at the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center.

Sincerely,
Big Sky Resort Tax Board
